Violin lessons in Ancaster and Hamilton

I believe that people at any stage of life can learn to play the violin at a high level. Playing the violin may feel daunting at first, but as a performer, I can teach you foundational habits and techniques so violin playing becomes much more easier and natural.

At Naphtali Music, students will learn from an award-winning violinist who has performed across Hamilton and the Greater Toronto Area. With me, your violin playing will sound sweeter with each lesson.

What Our Students are Saying

Lisa, adult beginner violinist

One of Paul’s greatest strengths is his ability to identify specific challenges and tailor his teaching to each student’s needs. He is patient, attentive, and always finds effective ways to help me overcome difficulties.

Violin lessons for any student at any level

Children and teenagers

Children and teenagers can build strong musical foundations that can support them for the rest of the lives. I am also familiar with the Suzuki School of teaching and have taught children as young as 7 years of age. Students may also use violin performance to work towards their RCM examinations, which can contribute toward high school credits.

Audition and recital preparation

Whether you're preparing for an audition, recital, or a festival, you'll learn to polish your repertoire from a concert pianist who's done it before and thrived.

Royal Conservatory of Music exam prep

Prepare for your RCM exams with a musician who has performed violin concertos and as a concertmaster in local orchestras. Lessons with me come with piano accompaniment for all performances. Together, you'll gain the support you need to build performance readiness and master any technical requirements.

Adults learning a new instrument

Begin or return to piano at any stage of life. Wherever you are, we can help you learn to read music, establish foundational techniques, and perform with confidence.

Want to learn another instrument?

Many successful violinists also learn the piano. Paul also plays the piano in addition to his violin.
